Welcome to the Wild Goose - What's with the name??
Fly on into Wild Goose Coffee at the Granary... why a Wild Goose? Celtic Christians had an interesting term for the Holy Spirit. They called it “An Geadh-Glas”, or the "wild goose". The Hayden Granary is the Delaney's "wild goose" chase - honoring the wisdom of the past and bettering the future through transforming the 1917 grain elevator into a local food hub. It's a journey truly driven by the Holy Spirit and, as a "Community Supported Coffeehouse", one that is only made possible by the collective talents, time and treasures of many.
When the Delaney's purchased the Granary, it was with the intent to keep this historic building as a gathering place and an iconic symbol in the small community of Hayden. Wild Goose Coffee at the Granary is a coffee house that continues the tradition of the Granary as a connecting point in Hayden, sharing good friends and great ideas and continues the quest for the Granary to become a hub for local food, art, heritage and community.
The Granary is a place where people are reconnected back to the land and each other. We believe most inspirations start over a great cup of tea or coffee, and hope you agree!
Come by for a great cup of coffee, chai or tea - all locally handcrafted - and some conversation. We'd love to see you!
